The Top 5 Best Facebook Groups for Entrepreneurs
Ask any business coach or mentor their biggest piece of advice in regards to "getting noticed" and they will surely tell you it's networking. Now, that may frighten some people. Heck, that word alone used to give me anxiety. Although I consider myself fairly outgoing, the idea of mingling with other business owners face-to-face just wasn't my cup of tea. These scheduled, meet-up events seemed rather pressured and artificial to me, despite the few people you may hit it off with. I like to work at my own pace, putting myself out there when I feel comfortable and have the time to do so within my daily list of tasks; and this is just another reason why the world wide web is so wonderful for us entrepreneurs. More specifically, the efficiency of Facebook groups for not only associating with like-mind individuals, but getting your business name out there and having a "face" to go with it.
I have generated the following list of my favourite Facebook groups for entrepreneurs. Each are different in their own way, but all have a common goal to help business owners like us succeed.
The RTS is a community of over 54,000 people that believe in "educating and empowering Creatives Entrepreneurs to thrive in the spirit of Community over Competition." The purpose of this group is to give all creatives a regular place to check in with other business owners, participate in group discussion, ask questions, and seek positive support. Not only this, but there are local chapters that meet up on "Tuesdays Together" to brainstorm and collaborate in person if that is your sort of thing. I have yet to meet one member that is not friendly and willing to help in anyway they can!
One of the most useful groups in my opinion, Instagram Bosses is about networking with other creative professionals and lifting each other up. Another firm believer in "community over competition," fun and a drama-free environment are a must here. The main purpose of this community is to have creatives help other creatives beat the Instagram Algorithm. This is achieved by multiple posts being initiated weekly that require you to interact with fellow entrepreneurs and help boost their Instagram engagement. I highly urge everyone to join and make the time to interact daily. It has helped my Instagram account immensely.
Join a community of worldwide female entrepreneurs that crush it, online. With over 3,300 members, you can introduce yourself, ask advice and share stories through a positive outlet. Nothing better than women lifting other women up in my opinion!
This is a space for all creative business owners (that mainly sell their goods on Etsy, Handmade at Amazon or even their own websites,) to receive guidance and support from fellow shop owners.
If you no longer want to just be a hobby crafter and you want to actually take your business to the next level, I strongly suggest looking into joining Flourish. Flourish is an exclusive community for handmade sellers where you learn from the best of the best through provided strategies and tips that will help you succeed in your industry.
A place to find support through the "tough stuff" that comes along with owning a business. Founder & Blogger, Allyn Lewis, is all about sharing your personal story to touch your audience and have them gain a sense of trust in you. I have learned so much valuable information from this group and I look forward to interacting regularly with it's community.
